Emma Hemness is the Founder and Managing Attorney for Hemness Faller Elder Law which is located in the Tampa area. She is a Florida Bar Board Certified Elder Law Attorney and is also a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. A key focus area within her law practice is Special Needs Planning. She provides practical guidance to families regarding benefits such as Medicaid and SSI. Emma establishes first party special needs trusts and settlement trusts; and also creates estate plans for families which include third party special needs trust to help protect loved ones with disabilities. In Florida, she supports families with navigating decision-making assistance on behalf of their disabled loved one, whether this is by implementing advance directives, supported decision-making or guardian advocacy.
